Sales Manager

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic Sales Manager for the brand new Holiday Inn Express, Bridgwater. Reporting to the General Manager, you will have a strong focus on proactively driving and supporting the sales activity pre-opening and after the hotel is open.

What Are We Looking For?

You will be a passionate, creative and target driven sales professional. The hotel sales manager’s key responsibilities is to target and sell all the hotels facilities, outlets and room segments with pre-determined targets and accountabilities. The position will support sharing the targets for RGI growth, achieving total revenue budgets and customer satisfaction through quality, employee engagement and net operating profit across all segments. Hotel sales experience is essential.

Your key strengths will be integrity, innovation, process-management, adaptability and the ability to lead and inspire others by example.

You will be able to demonstrate a hunger for new business and must be able to;

  • Proactively create and manage a portfolio of accounts across all revenue streams, building on existing relationships and identifying/securing new business opportunities
  • Plan and execute regular communication and interaction with clients to ensure engagement and loyalty and review performance on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Monitor all aspects of account administration to ensure these are accurate and effective, including client databases, completion of RFPs, collation of rates, issuing contracts, rate loading and tracking
  • Identify both sales and marketing opportunities and create and support the completion of the Sales & Marketing Plan for the hotel
  • Liaise closely with the Revenue and Reservations teams, to encourage and obtain maximum commitment, engagement and performance
  • Submit monthly reports as requested by ADOS & GM in a timely manner and attend business/ commercial reviews as required and provide input
  • Maintain high visibility in the local and regional areas including attendance at key networking events that allows for partnerships with the right contacts and organisations
  • To meet and exceed client expectations in terms of support, quality and service and to communicate identified client needs effectively.
