The Holiday Inn Brentford Lock nestled overlooking the scenic waterways of the Grand Union Canal. This four-star hotel is located in west London and has been created for comfort and style and offers a warm and welcoming service to all guests. The hotel has 6 modern meeting rooms and 133 en-suite bedrooms; it is the first in Europe to have a revolutionary open lobby concept.  With good transports link, the hotel can be easily accessed by public transport. Brentford train station is about 10 minutes’ walk to the hotel. Our employees have been playing a tremendous part in the hotel and our team success, from our employee engagement being above 89%.

With the largest banquet facilities in our portfolio with 12,500 sq. ft., we were awarded in 2016 a Gold accreditation for overall satisfaction by BDRC, ranking us in the top 10 in the UK.

We are currently looking for a motivated, professional individual with personality and passion to join our winning team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Reception Supervisor to join an amazing team, reporting to the Front Office Manager. You will be required to work shift patterns of mornings, afternoons and on some occasion nights. The successfully recruited Reception Supervisor will have excellent interpersonal skills and will be a crucial part of the team.

As Reception Supervisor you must be self-motivated and be an inspirational leader, who believes in delivering the best possible standards in guest service, continually leading your team by example. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest complaints and providing departmental performance.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Supervising the reception team members to ensure all company procedures, standards and brand values are being adhered to and delivered.
  • Assisting with the day to day operation of the reception desk as required and ensuring the highest levels of customer service are consistently being delivered to our guests.
  • Identifying customer service problems or issues before they arise.
  • Displaying a positive, friendly and informal manner with customers.
  • Showing a sense of urgency on behalf of customers and actions requests quickly.
  • Undertaking work in a well-organised and systematic way.
  • Working effectively with colleagues and other departments.
  • Striving for excellence by paying attention to important detail.
  • Ensuring promises are kept by following through on customers’ requests.
  • Maximising sales opportunities through upselling, cross-selling and achieving add-on-sales.
  • Supporting and coaching less experienced members of the team during shifts and have specific areas of responsibility for the department.

The ideal candidate is an individual who cares about providing excellent service to our guests and who can use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wondrous experience for everyone. You will be able to maintain a positive and calm outlook regardless of what challenges the shift brings, and able to make the right decision. Experience within a similar environment is preferable.
