A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE FOOD & BEVERGAGE ADMINISTRATOR AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Head Chef with a dotted line to the Restaurant Manager, this role requires a combination of administrative skills, kitchen management knowledge and a passion for ensuring that all kitchen activities run smoothly. You can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Manage incoming calls, emails and correspondence related to kitchen operations.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to place orders, track deliveries and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders and invoices using appropriate software.
  • Manage food inventory to include monthly stock take, and subsequent data entry on procure wizard software.
  • Administrative duties relating to allergen control, to maintain accurate records of all food ingredients used within the property.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations by maintaining detailed records of sanitation practices, equipment maintenance and team training.
  • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping for the kitchen team.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Food & Beverage Administrator, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in the food and beverage industry or hospitality sector.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with customers, suppliers and team members.
  • Proficient in computer software, MS Office Suite and F&B management systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of F&B operations, food safety standards and hospitality trends would be a distinct advantage.
