Due to the success of our hotel, we are restructuring our meeting and events department.

The Holiday Inn Brentford Lock nestled overlooking the scenic waterways of the Grand Union Canal. This four-star hotel is located in west London and has been created for comfort and style and offers a warm and welcoming service to all guests. The hotel has 6 modern meeting rooms and 133 en-suite bedrooms; it is the first in Europe to have a revolutionary open lobby concept.  With good transport links, the hotel can be easily accessed by public transport. Brentford train station is about 10 minutes’ walk to the hotel. Our employees have been playing a tremendous part in the hotel and our team success, from our employee engagement being above 89%.

With the largest banquet facilities in our portfolio with 12,500 sq. ft., we were awarded in 2016 a Gold accreditation for overall satisfaction by BDRC, ranking us in the top 10 in the UK.

We are currently looking for a motivated, professional individual with personality and passion to join our winning team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Meeting and Events Coordinator to join an amazing team, reporting to the Sales Manager. As Meeting and Events Coordinator, you will be very commercially savvy, passionate about exceeding customers’ expectations, enthusiastic, positive and motivated to continually develop services levels.  You will have had previous experience of driving sales activities for meeting space through strategic planning and client engagement within a branded hotel and or large Meetings and Events venue. The successfully recruited Meeting and Events Coordinator will have excellent interpersonal skills and the gravitas to become an integral part of our team. You will be required to be super sales individual whilst being responsible for driving revenue through accommodation, meetings & events and have supported sales activities within Food and Beverage.

As Meeting and Events Coordinator, you must be self-motivated, smart, presentable and courteous with a welcoming personality. Organised, able to multitask and show initiative with an eye for details. The role also requires excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest complaints and providing departmental performance.

This is a hands-on role leading the events and ensuring all meetings run smoothly.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Professionally respond to customer enquiries via email, telephone and face to face contact, negotiate and coordinate with events suppliers.
  • Prepare accurate client invoices and contracts in a timely manner pre and post event.
  • Conduct show rounds and provide client hospitality.
  • Promote the facilities to prospective external clients by demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the products on offer
  • Generate leads by networking existing accounts, both current and lapsed, to develop new business
  • Coordinate event details for corporate and private functions including lunches, seated dinners, receptions, meetings, conferences, ceremonial occasion and weddings.
